About Minda Powers-Douglas
Minda Powers-Douglas is the author of "Cemetery Walk," "Translating Tombstones" and "Images of America: Chippiannock Cemetery" and is the founder and editor of TheCemeteryClub.com and Epitaphs Magazine. She teaches classes on cemtery symbolism and history as well as on gravestone rubbing, memoir writing and more. She enjoys volunteering at cemetery events and doing her part to keeping our cemeteries "alive."
Minda received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Theater from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. She is a native of Moline, Illinois.
Minda has been a member of the Association for Gravestone Studies and the Alliance of Illinois Cemeterians. Minda enjoys researching the history, art and culture of America's cemeteries.
Minda lives with her husband, artist Bill Douglas, and their daughter in Moline, Ill.
