About Minda Powers-Douglas
Minda Powers-Douglas is the author of "Cemetery Walk" and "Life in Parts: An Interpretation from the Cemetery" and is the founder and editor of Epitaphs Magazine. She has interviewed people across the U.S. as well as other countries.

Minda received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Theater from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. She is a native of Moline, Illinois, and graduated from Moline High School in 1990.

A member of the Association for Gravestone Studies and the Alliance of Illinois Cemeterians, Minda is often researching cemeteries, history.

Minda lives with her husband, caricature artist and musician Bill Douglas, and their feline kids in Moline, Ill.

Location: Hauberg Civic Center (former mansion of John and Suzanne Hauberg, VIP philanthropists from years ago--who are featured in the book)

Who: Everyone is invited! Cemetery fans, history buffs, public, press, friends, family, curious folks.
What: There will be a slide show presentation, book signing and refreshments. Come and celebrate a local treasure, Chippiannock Cemetery.
Please note: Books must be ordered (or purchased elsewhere) in advance, as the Center has a strict policy on no sales.
