Welcome
Hello! My name is Minda, and I've been an ordained minister for four years. I originally wanted to become ordained so that I could perform ceremonies for people who want a special ceremony but who are not necessarily religious. My goal was to eventually become a celebrant who would officiate at weddings, funerals and other important life occasions.
As an ordained minister I've officiated non-religious and religious weddings. I've also had the honor of officiating at my mother-in-law's funeral. I've performed wedding ceremonies for friends, family members and couples who have had my services recommended to them.

Your wedding is just that--your wedding--and I believe that it should reflect what you want it to. For this reason, I will work with you and your spouse-to-be to craft a personalized ceremony that meets your needs.
Whether you want a traditional ceremony or a completely personalized one, I will create the wedding ceremony that will make your special day as wonderful as it can be.

What kinds of ceremonies do you offer? All kinds, all of them catered to your needs.
Weddings - Traditional, non-religious - Traditional, religious - Civil ceremonies - Same-sex ceremonies - Formal - Informal - Theme - Indoor - Outdoor
Funerals - Memorial services - Burial site services
Do you perform same-sex ceremonies? Yes. If same-sex unions are legal in your state, I will happily perform your ceremony.
As an ordained minister, can you marry me in my state? Ordained ministers are recognized as legal officiants in all states, though there may be restrictions (such as a specific license). I have performed ceremonies for people in Illinois and Iowa. Contact me, and I will research your state/county for regulations.
How did you become ordained and by whom? I am ordained by the Universal Life Church.
What is your religious affiliation? While I have no religious affiliation, I respect the religious beliefs of others. I believe in God and consider myself a spiritual person. Religious belief is a very personal matter, and if you select me as your officiant, be assured that I will respect your beliefs.
How much do you charge for a ceremony? I do my best to keep my costs affordable. Fees depend on your location and the location of your wedding (travel costs will be included for ceremonies performed outside of the Quad-City area of Illinois and Iowa).
Will we be able to meet before we decide to select you? Absolutely! Let's meet for coffee and discuss your wedding! If you live out-of-town, we can discuss details over the phone or via e-mail, etc.
Will we be able to see the final ceremony before our wedding day? YES! I will work with you every step of the way to make sure your ceremony is exactly what you want. I will send you drafts of the ceremony as needed.
