Limited Stock T-shirts
This fabulous T-shirt is currently available in size XL. The image was taken from an old rubbing of Nathanael Mather's stone in Salem, Massachusetts, from 1688. This shirt is from the excellent Gravestone Artwear collection. According to Gravestone Artwear: "The skull with wings signifying death and mortality are death head images which were popular in the 17th and early 18th centuries. Nathanael Maher was Cotton Mather’s precocious brother who entered Harvard College at the age of twelve. 'Memento Mori' is Latin for remember death." I have seen this gravestone in person, and it is incredible.

Mr. Nathanael Mather
DEC.D OCTOBER Ye 17 1688

An Aged person

Nineteen Winters
in the World.

The Sleepy Hollow graveyard in what was North Tarrytown, New York, and since 1996 has been officially named "Sleepy Hollow" is supposedly where the Headless Horseman was buried in Washington Irving's legendary story first published in 1820. Scott Thomas of North Grafton, Massachusetts, is the artist of our version of Ichabod Crane's headstone.
