Welcome to the Virtual Book Launch Announced for "Life in Parts"

Help yourself to some "virtual" food and a "virtual" glass of wine ...
About the Book
While I have been working diligently away on "Ghost Walk," I've also been working on another book--this one is a photography book. Not only is it filled with beautiful cemetery art, it also features special quotations that mean something to me, plus quite a bit of my own prose. I'm very proud of this book, and I think you will enjoy it.

"Life in Parts: An Interpretation from the Cemetery" is NOW available in paperback. I've published it through Lulu.com, which also publishes Epitaphs Magazine.

"Life in Parts" features photographs of cemetery statuary ... but in a different way for me. For this book, I've focused on different aspects--or parts, as it were--of the monuments. Hands, feet, faces .... My original vision was to features all parts of the body, but the more I thought about it, the weirder it seemed like it would turn out. So I started really thinking about the photos and what they said to me. And I started writing.

Hands holding one another generally symbolizes matrimony, so I started thinking about what marriage means to me.

Each image in this book has a special meaning to me. I often return to the same gravestones with my camera to see what it still has to tell me. In the case of this book, I sometimes wrote my own thoughts, and in other cases I listened to others. There are quotations by William Shakespeare, Henry David Thoreau, William Blake, Charlotte Bronte, Walt Whitman, Edith Wharton, and more. I think you will be as inspired by their words as I was.
