The Project: Finding and Honoring Women in American History

Pick up any number of "where are they buried" books about figures in history, and odds are that most of those figures will be men. So where are the ladies? We're going to find out. [email protected]

What are the Parameters?

I am interested in any woman in American history who has made a difference to her country, community or cause.

A number of these historical women will be obvious: Harriett Tubman, Betty Friedan, Susan B. Anthony, Geraldine Ferraro, Gwendolyn Brooks, etc. Others will be harder to find. I want to unearth them all, in a matter of speaking. Let's leave no gravestone unturned.
